Chiropractic Patient Takes "Leap of Faith" at 80

For many years Janet Phillips of Palmer, MA wanted to enjoy the thrill of sky driving. After celebrating her 80th birthday on Sept 28, '02 Janet thought it was time. On Oct 27th 2002 Janet and 43 family members drove to the Northampton airport to watch her take the "leap of faith"

After a short program of instruction with Airborne Adventures, Janet was ready to go. The plane took off and leveled at 10,000 feet. Janet and her instructor moved to the door and jumped.The ride down took 20 min. with a "free fall" that lasted 33 seconds. "I wasn't scared", Janet recalled. "I was more fearful of slipping on the edge of the door way [iced up] than the actual jump itself".

After a perfect landing pizza was ordered and all celebrated Janet's youthful courage.
